For several years now, update texware, the Kulmbach-based ERP specialist for the textile industry, has had a tradition of donating the company parking fees collected from "third-party parking" to a charitable organization in the region at the end of the year.
Together with update's long-standing customer Janine Design GmbH from Vreden in Münsterland, one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality branded bed linen, it was possible this year to donate a total of 70 high-quality bed linen sets from the J.D. by Janine brand to the children's residential groups and the "Sternstunden" children's home run by the Geschwister-Gummi-Stiftung in Kulmbach.
Dr. Michael Schiffmann, Managing Director of update texware GmbH, and his assistant Tanja Friedrich warmly welcomed the two employees of the Geschwister Gummi Foundation Edeltraud Dahlhoff (Head of Family and Education) and Regina Herath (Head of Public Relations) to the donation handover on 11 January 2022.
"We are very happy about the donation!" beamed Edeltraud Dahlhoff from the Geschwister-Gummi-Stiftung. She added: "The children who live in the "Sternstunden" children's home have been severely traumatized by their families of origin or foster families in the past. This makes it all the more important that we create a place for them here with us where they feel comfortable, day and night. Many thanks to update texware and Janine Design for the great bed linen!"
