System Administrator (m/f/d)
update texware GmbH has been developing and distributing ERP software for the textile and clothing industry as well as for the textile trade for more than four decades, making it the leading industry software provider in the German-speaking world.
In the course of our dynamic growth, we are looking to strengthen our system administrator team in Kulmbach with immediate effect.
Your profile
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration or comparable training
- At least 2 years of professional experience as a system administrator
- Good OS and software knowledge (Windows, MS Office)
- Knowledge of backup solutions, ADS, DHCP, DNS, VMWare, Hyper V, Cisco, MS-Exchange is advantageous
- Good hardware knowledge of PC, server and storage systems
- Knowledge of databases (especially Progress) is desirable
- Independent and determined way of working
- Team spirit and strong communication skills
- Sense of responsibility and initiative
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
Your tasks
- Remote installation, configuration and upgrades of our customer texware/ERP systems
- Configuration and administration of the software used internally
- Support of the internal and external network infrastructure
- Support and maintenance of existing VPN connections (Cisco)
- First-level administrative support for customers at database and system level
- Creation and maintenance of documentation and service tools
