From May 14-17, the latest machines, systems, processes and services for the manufacture of clothing and textile and flexible materials were once again presented at texprocess. Techtextil, the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens, took place parallel to texprocess.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 1,818 exhibitors from 59 countries and a total of around 47,000 trade visitors from 116 countries, this was the most international edition of this trade fair duo to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digital future of the textile and clothing industry<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digitalization, individualization, Industry 4.0 - these are the drivers of innovation in the textile industry. \"Microfactories\" showed integrated production chains live. As an approach to textile processing that is fully networked, allows individualized products and works quickly, flexibly and locally, they were a key topic at this year's texprocess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The demand for high-performance IT solutions for the textile and clothing industry is increasing, particularly with regard to traceability and quality management, for example. Data integration, networking, paperless data exchange with customers, suppliers and service providers - these are the buzzwords of the future. Mobility is in demand: garment manufacturers, customers and field staff want mobile access to their applications and information on prices, stocks and availability - no matter where they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keyword fast fashion: production cycles are becoming shorter due to ready-to-wear collections (short lead times). This makes it all the more important for a fashion company with production abroad to know the capacity planning of its suppliers so that the material is available on time. This is virtually impossible without a high-performance IT solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With our ERP software, we were texware\/CS<\/a><\/strong> and our complementary solutions for the areas of EDI<\/a><\/strong>, PDA - Production Data Acquisition<\/strong><\/a> and Business Intelligence<\/strong><\/a> and recorded a very high demand in this respect over the 4 days of the fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Textiles are a high-tech product these days.\"<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Technical and smart textiles in particular give companies in Germany a positive outlook for the future,\" says Thomas Barei\u00df, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can confirm that: It is a very interesting field of activity for us and proof that our software solutions are in tune with the times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
